Wisconsin Shaped Magnetic bottle openers have four N52 (strongest available!) rare earth magnets to not only securely attach it to a metal surface but also to catch your bottle caps! They are either set into the wood and filled with epoxy or inset to protect from scratching your refrigerator surface.
Each one measures roughly 6 inches at its widest and 6 inches at its tallest. The wood is 1 inch thick with a total thickness with opener at 2 inches.
Alternative methods of mounting are options but NOT included.
To mount to wood or a wall, replace the screws with 2 #10 screws that are at least 1.5 inches long and mount to desired location.
To mount to non magnetic surface I also recommend using 2 large picture frame mounting Command Strips. Rub area you plan to stick the strips to with alcohol to remove mineral oil and beeswax finish prior to applying command strips.
This item is shipped in a slightly oversized box to negate the magnetic force that apparently makes it stick to the metal conveyor belts during the mail sorting process... at least that'w what a friend told me... =)
